Doing some restyling at home - coming into autumn and the days getting colder I can tend to want to hibernate. Working full time, running around after 3 kids, and a very busy husband means what little time I have to myself I just want to curl up under the doona and sleep sleep sleep… but last weekend instead of dropping off the face of the earth I got creative. I took a boring pine cupboard (that had been sitting in my garage for years) and upstyled it with some beautiful Happy go lucky yellow. all week my eye was drawn to the yellow and I felt energized and cheery. Thank you Yellow you made my week.

High Tea Event - So the plan was to have this beautiful decor, I hand made Doilley Garlands, beautiful glass pods with gardinea scented handmade candles, paper lanterns, birdcages and loads of freshly cut ivy. Unfortunatley it rained and rained and then rained a little more, totally washed out and ruiend the Doilley Garlands as you can see in the back ground of this photo, the rain flooded the alfresco area but the event still had to go on. with 60+ people arriving in under 2hrs it was time for plan B, with a bit of rushing and elbow grease we totally transformed the inside of the house to cater, the event was still beautifully styled just slightly different to the original vision, thank goodness for plan B’s
